Alexander Volkanovski got the most important victory of his career, On Saturday in Las Vegas by defeating “Max Holloway” by unanimous decision to become the new featherweight champion at UFC 245.
He signed at the same time a 18th straight victory.
Holloway had not lost since 2013 in this category, his only other defeat having occurred in the meantime against Dustin Poirier for the interim lightweight title.
Volkanovski did well in the first round with several kicks damaging the leg. He continued to disturb the champion in the same way to the next. Holloway was not very active on his side besides some jabs.
Volkanovski continued to be the attacker in the third, moving forward, and his energy did not diminish. In the last minute, Holloway dared to do more with knockdown and kick kick attempts when he saw him trailing in the fight.
