Indonesian Muslims are now awaiting the 1st Ramadan isbat 2020 session which determines the beginning of fasting and Eid. But before that there was a community organization that gave an idea of when to fast in 2020.
The government's version of fasting in 2020 is still awaiting the results of the Isbat hearing on Thursday. The Isbat Assembly will answer the question, when is fasting in 2020?
Previously Muhammadiyah had released the results of reckoning that determined the beginning of the month of Ramadan, Shawwal, and Zulhijah 1441 H or 2020. The beginning of Ramadan was set on April 24, 2020 while Eid al-Fitr fell on May 24, 2020 after a 30-day fast.
The release of the calculation result of the reckoning method was announced via Twitter Muhammadiyah at @muhammadiyah. The following are the results of the full reckoning delivered by Muhammadiyah including when to fast in 2020:
1. 1 Ramadhan 1441 H falls on Friday 24 April 2020
2. 1 Shawwal 1441 H falls on Sunday May 24, 2020
3. 1 Zulhijah 1441 H fell on Wednesday Wage 22 July 2020
4. Arafat Day on the 9th of July 1441 AH fell on Thursday July 30, 2020 AD
5. Eid al-Adha on the 10th of July 1441 AH falls on Friday 31 July 2020 AD
In addition to Muhammadiyah, the Ministry of Religion or Ministry of Religion has also released the Ramadan Fast Schedule 1441 H / 2020. The schedule applies to the Greater Jakarta area according to western Indonesian time.
The schedule contains information on the time of ruling, dawn, zuhr, asr, maghrib, and evening for 30 days in the month of Ramadan 2020. But the schedule does not tell when fasting is 2020.
The Ministry of Religion is still waiting for the results of observations or rukyatul hilal that determine the beginning of the month of Ramadan. The result of hilal observation and calculation of reckoning will be discussed in the isbat 1 session of Ramadan 2020.
The isbat meeting is planned to be held on Thursday (4/23/2020) involving elements of government and community organizations. The results of this isbat trial will answer when the fasting of 2020 will be held.
