In the first match of the six one-day series, South Africa won the toss and scored 269 runs at the loss of eight wickets in the 50 overs in the first innings.
In reply, India scored 270 runs at the loss of four wickets in the 46th over.
India's wicket keeper Virat Kohli and Ajakey Rehana presented the best game and made the team win by 189 runs in the third wicket partnership.
Veteran Kohli scored his 33th and scored 112 runs in this match. While Ryane made half a century and went out on 79 individual Indians.
