Two people were shot in the center of Zurich, not far from the main city railway station. There are no other victims.
The circumstances of the incident are still unclear, but the police say they do not see the reasons for considering the incident as a terrorist act.
According to eyewitnesses, the shooting took place around 14:30 local time near the branch of the UBS bank in Lagerstrasse.
When the police arrived at the scene, one of the victims was still alive, but soon died of wounds. Both victims have bullet wounds. Eyewitnesses say that in total there were five shots.
Swiss media published photographs of two bodies lying side by side on the asphalt. Nearby is an object that looks like a gun.
