Big Festival Break Announced by the Government
The government has declared the Eid al-Adha 2025 holidays from Thursday, June 5 to Monday, June 9.
Work will resume on Tuesday, June 10.
This important update came after a Cabinet meeting led by Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al Sabah.
Full Holiday Schedule
- 🗓️ Start of holiday: Thursday, June 5, 2025
- 🗓️ End of holiday: Monday, June 9, 2025
- 🏢 Work resumes: Tuesday, June 10, 2025
All government offices and public services will stay closed for 5 days.
Special Rule for Some Workplaces
The government says some jobs with special needs can set their own holiday plans.
This includes:
- 🏥 Hospitals
- ✈️ Airports
- 👮♂️ Emergency services
- ⚙️ Any place that cannot stop work
These places can choose different dates to celebrate Eid with flexibility.
🌙 When Is Eid al-Adha?
- 📅 Dhu al-Hijjah starts: May 28, 2025
- (Based on moon sighting on May 27)
- 🕋 Day of Arafat: Thursday, June 5
- 🎉 Eid al-Adha: Friday, June 6

- 🕌 Prayers, charity, and family time
