Clayface Trailer Revealed: Batman Villain Gets Horror Movie in DC Universe

 

DC Brings a Dark New Story

The first trailer for Clayface has been revealed, showing a dark and scary origin story of one of Clayface’s most famous villains.

The film is directed by James Watkins and is part of the new DC Universe led by James Gunn.


Story: From Actor to Monster

The movie follows Matt Hagen, a struggling actor.

What Happens to Him?

  • He is attacked and his face is badly injured
  • He agrees to a risky medical experiment
  • At first, the treatment works
  • Soon, his body begins to change

👉 His body turns into living clay, allowing him to:

  • Change his face
  • Copy other people
  • Transform into different shapes

But the power comes at a terrible cost.

The trailer was first shown at CinemaCon.

Key Scenes:

  • Matt in a hospital with a damaged face
  • Doctors inject him with strange chemicals
  • His face changes quickly and unnaturally
  • At one point, he has no eyes or mouth
  • A shocking scene shows him removing his face in a bathtub
  • His hand transforms into a giant weapon

The tone is more like a body horror movie than a superhero film.
