Kuwait Summons Iranian Diplomat

Kuwait has called in a senior Iranian diplomat after recent missile and drone attacks.

The country's Deputy Foreign Minister, Hamad Suleiman Al-Mashaan, met with Iran's acting chargé d'affaires, Hamed Hamid Yaghoubi Far.

During the meeting, Kuwait handed over an official protest note.

Two Iranian Diplomats Ordered to Leave

Kuwait's Foreign Ministry said the government has decided to reduce the number of Iranian diplomats in the country.

Officials also declared two members of the Iranian Embassy "persona non grata" (unwelcome persons).

They were ordered to leave Kuwait within 24 hours.

Kuwait Blames Iran for Attacks

Kuwaiti officials said Iran has continued launching ballistic missiles and drones.

According to the government, a new wave of attacks took place on Wednesday morning.

Several civilian sites were targeted, including Kuwait International Airport.

One Dead, Dozens Injured

Officials said one person was killed in the attacks.

Dozens of civilians were injured.

The strikes also damaged important facilities and diplomatic buildings.

Kuwait Condemns the Attacks

Kuwait strongly condemned what it called "criminal Iranian attacks."

Officials said the strikes violated Kuwait's sovereignty and international law.

They also said the attacks broke the United Nations Charter and international agreements.

Kuwait Rejects Iranian Claims

The Deputy Foreign Minister said Iran's accusations against Kuwait are false.

He said there is no evidence to support those claims.

According to Kuwait, such accusations cannot justify attacks on its territory.

Kuwait Vows to Protect Its Security

Kuwait said it will continue taking all necessary steps to protect its people and national security.

Officials stressed that Kuwait will not allow its land or airspace to be used for attacks against any country.

The government said it has the legal right under international law to defend its sovereignty and protect residents
