At least 24 people died and 10 others were injured in a road accident involving a bus and a car in the state of Puebla, in central Mexico, are we learned Monday court sources.
"The bodies completely burned 22 people were removed from the bus, and two others also were removed from the charred vehicle," said a judicial source told media.
The accident occurred late Sunday afternoon near Jalpan, about 215 kilometers from Mexico City.
According to first reports, the bus was full of passengers at the time of the tragedy.
The damaged vehicle has blocked the doors of the bus, making passenger evacuation difficult. Only 10 people managed to escape the flames out through the windows of the bus, according to authorities.
